Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how MDSLabs ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information about you when you use the Treino mobile application (the "App") and the associated website at treino.app (the "Site"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account or use the App:
- Account information: display name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
- Workout data: routines you create, exercises you add, sets, repetitions, weights, and session timestamps.
- Profile preferences: training goals (e.g., strength, hypertrophy, volume), unit preferences (kg/lb), and notification settings.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App or visit the Site, we may automatically collect:
- Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage data: features you use, screens you visit, actions you take, and session duration.
- Crash reports and diagnostics: error logs and performance data to help us identify and fix bugs.
- Log data: IP address, browser type (for the Site), pages visited, and referring URLs.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
If you choose to sign in using a third-party service such as Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, we receive basic profile information (name and email address) from that service as permitted by your privacy settings on that platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and sync your data across devices.
- Provide, operate, and improve the App and its features.
- Display your workout history, progress charts, and personal records.
- Send you transactional communications such as account confirmation emails and password reset links.
- Send you optional push notifications about your training schedule or app updates (you can disable these at any time in your device settings).
- Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve user experience and app performance.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your workout data for advertising purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers operated by our infrastructure providers. We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS.
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest.
- Restricted access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
- Regular security reviews of our systems and practices.
Despite our efforts, no security measure is perfectly impenetrable. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. If a data breach occurs that affects your rights, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, audit, or dispute resolution purposes.
Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting). These vendors are contractually obligated to use your data only to perform services on our behalf and to maintain appropriate security measures.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers: If MDSLabs is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With your consent: We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit prior consent.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete the information.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can update or correct your account information directly in the App settings.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and personal data by going to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by contacting us at the email below.
- Portability: You can request an export of your workout data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device's operating system settings at any time.
- Withdraw consent: Where we process data based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate correctly, remember your preferences, and collect analytics data. Specifically:

- Analytics cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with the Site. This data is aggregated and anonymized where possible.

MDSLabs is based in Chile. If you are accessing the App from outside Chile, your information may be transferred to and processed in Chile or in other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection law and that adequate safeguards are in place to protect your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending a notification through the App or to your registered email address. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
